Identity Account SMS Application
To apply using SMS, you need to SMS your initials, surname and ID number to 49706 (standard SMS rates).
If you are self-employed, you will have to collect and complete a proof of income form in-store with your original ID book, to qualify for an account.
There are various options to pay your Identity and the options are:-

- Cash or card in stores
- Net banking or debit card
- ATM/ electronic medium
- Easy pay.
Requirements
There are no such heavy requirements for the Identity account application. All one needs is the following things:-

- South African ID number
- Email address
